Recyclers only take dry, bug-free beds
About 90% of a mattress — steel, foam, and wood — is recyclable, but Spring Back Utah and the city’s recycling stream can only accept mattresses that are dry and free of bed bugs. Wet or soiled beds go to the landfill.
Most charities won’t take used mattresses
